An unplanned stop at the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen yielded insights into the mind of a well-known Rotterdam art collector and gallery owner, Hans Sonnenberg, nicknamed Mr. Delta after Galerie Delta, which he founded in 1962. Before I give the impression that I am a connoisseur of galleries, let me point out that I am familiar with Galerie Delta because I use the bus stop right in front of its building, and so I have been able to take in quite a bit of art through the generously proportioned windows. I have never ventured through its doors, but I might have been much less intimidated had I seen this interview recorded ten years ago.
